How it works

01
Open the TikTok video
Find the food video you want to keep. Tap the Share button (the arrow pointing right).
02
Tap Share → Pantree
In the iOS share sheet, scroll to find Pantree and tap it. If you don't see it, tap 'More' and enable Pantree from your share sheet apps.
03
Recipe imported automatically
Pantree reads the video caption and transcript to extract the recipe name, ingredients, steps, and cook time. It takes a few seconds.
04
Cook it — whenever you're ready
The recipe lives in your Pantree library forever. When you're ready to cook, Pantree checks your pantry and tells you if you already have everything.

Why screenshots and bookmarks don't work

TikTok's built-in save feature keeps videos inside the app — but you can't search them by ingredient, and they disappear if the creator deletes the original. Screenshots live in your camera roll with no context. Bookmarks get buried.

Pantree solves this by converting the video into a structured recipe: a proper list of ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, and cook time. It lives in your recipe library alongside everything else you've saved — from Instagram, food blogs, handwritten cards, or typed from memory.

What Pantree extracts from a TikTok

  • Recipe name — from the caption or spoken title
  • Ingredients — with quantities where mentioned
  • Step-by-step instructions — in order
  • Cook time and serving size — where available
  • Source credit — the original TikTok creator is saved with the recipe

More than just saving

Once a recipe is in Pantree, it's connected to your pantry. Log the ingredients you have at home and Pantree will tell you which of your saved TikTok recipes you can cook right now — no extra shopping needed. For the ones you're missing ingredients for, Pantree adds them straight to your shopping list.

Common questions

Does Pantree work with all TikTok recipe videos?
Pantree works with the vast majority of TikTok food videos. It reads the video caption and, where available, the spoken transcript to reconstruct the recipe. Videos with very little text description may import with partial details — you can fill in any missing fields manually.
Do I need a TikTok account to save recipes?
No. You can also copy the TikTok video link and paste it directly into Pantree without using the share sheet. This works whether or not you have a TikTok account.
How many TikTok recipes can I save?
Free Pantree users can import 10 recipes per month (from any source, including TikTok). Premium users get unlimited imports. You can always add recipes manually without any limit.
Can I save TikTok recipes on Android?
Pantree is currently available on iOS only. Android support is planned for a future release.
What if the recipe doesn't import correctly?
You can edit any imported recipe directly in Pantree — tap any field to correct ingredients, steps, or timing. You can also add a photo, tags, and notes.
