How it works
Why screenshots and bookmarks don't work
TikTok's built-in save feature keeps videos inside the app — but you can't search them by ingredient, and they disappear if the creator deletes the original. Screenshots live in your camera roll with no context. Bookmarks get buried.
Pantree solves this by converting the video into a structured recipe: a proper list of ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, and cook time. It lives in your recipe library alongside everything else you've saved — from Instagram, food blogs, handwritten cards, or typed from memory.
What Pantree extracts from a TikTok
- Recipe name — from the caption or spoken title
- Ingredients — with quantities where mentioned
- Step-by-step instructions — in order
- Cook time and serving size — where available
- Source credit — the original TikTok creator is saved with the recipe
More than just saving
Once a recipe is in Pantree, it's connected to your pantry. Log the ingredients you have at home and Pantree will tell you which of your saved TikTok recipes you can cook right now — no extra shopping needed. For the ones you're missing ingredients for, Pantree adds them straight to your shopping list.
