Mealime only serves its own recipes. Pantree serves yours.
Mealime's biggest constraint is one that's fundamental to its design: every recipe in the app comes from Mealime's own curated library. There is no way to add a recipe you found on TikTok, import from a food blog, or save the dish your grandmother taught you. You are cooking from Mealime's menu.
Pantree is the opposite. It's a container for your recipe collection, wherever those recipes come from. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, AllRecipes, a food blog, a photo of a handwritten card, or typed from memory. Once imported, every recipe lives in one searchable library that connects to your pantry.
If you want to cook the recipes you already love, Pantree is built for that. Mealime assumes you haven't found those recipes yet.
