Pantree is a free iOS app that solves the modern recipe problem — recipes scattered across TikTok DMs, Instagram saves, Telegram chats and Lemon8, impossible to find when you actually want to cook them. It brings everything into one library, combines it with a pantry tracker and smart shopping list, and ties it together with an AI Chef that suggests meals based on what you already have.
Yes. Pantree is free to download and free to use. The free tier includes 10 recipe imports per month, 15 AI Chef messages per month, unlimited manual recipes, full pantry tracking, and shopping lists. Optional Premium ($3.99/mo) and Family ($5.99/mo) plans remove the limits and add extra household seats.

Paste any URL, share a TikTok / Instagram / YouTube video, upload a photo of a handwritten recipe, or type a recipe manually. Pantree parses the ingredients, steps, timing and metadata automatically, then saves it to your recipe library. Imports take a few seconds and work on most cooking sites, recipe blogs, and major social platforms.
AI Chef is a chat-based cooking assistant inside Pantree. It can suggest recipes based on what you currently have in your pantry, recommend meals that use up ingredients nearing their expiry date, answer kitchen questions ("can I substitute X for Y?"), and adapt recipes for dietary preferences. Free users get 15 messages per month; Premium and Family users get unlimited messages.
Add ingredients to your digital pantry with a quantity and (optionally) an expiry date. Pantree uses this inventory to surface which recipes you can cook right now, warn you about items about to expire, and avoid putting duplicates on your shopping list. You can add items manually or import them from a shopping list.
Yes. On the Premium plan you can share with 1 other person (2 seats total). The Family plan extends sharing to up to 5 people. Everyone in the household sees the same pantry, shopping list and recipe collection in real time — so your flatmate doesn't buy another tub of yoghurt you already have.
Viewing saved recipes, your pantry inventory and your shopping list works offline. Features that require the internet — recipe imports from URLs, AI Chef chats, and real-time household sync — will queue or pause until you are back online.
We store your recipes, pantry and shopping list on our servers to enable household sync and recipe imports. We don't sell your data, and we don't run ads. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Yes, any time. Subscriptions are managed by Apple through your App Store account. Cancel from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
In the TikTok or Instagram app, tap Share → Pantree (or copy the link and paste it into Pantree). Pantree extracts the recipe from the caption, comments and video transcript where possible, then saves a structured recipe with ingredients and steps to your library.
